Biography
Ebtisam Mara'ana contact by e-mail
Ebtisam Mara'ana, a Palestinian citizen of Israel,
was born in Fureidis in 1975. A graduate of the school of Cinema and Television
at the Jewish-Arab academic center of Givat Haviva with a BA in communications
from David Yalin College in Jerusalem, she directed a number of reportages
for "Feminine Outlook" and "Arabesques" on Israel's
Channel One. Her documentary on unrecognized Palestinian villages "Waking
up to a Motherland" was broadcast on Israel's Channel Two. Mara'ana
has worked as an assistant director for filmakers Simon Biton, Ram Loevy,
and Duki Dror. Paradise Lost is her first feature documentary.
